Kuramitsu Rena, the main character, is a girl in seventh grade. She is also an idol, who models her own fashion brand, "Miss Rain." Demure, pretty, and shy, with short blue hair, she will remind many Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon fans of the character Mizuno Ami. The student council president and Kei both call her "Renny," a familiar version of her name - mixing "Rena" with "Rain."
Furukawa Kei is a very popular boy in the 9th grade. He's easygoing and a bit of a showoff, liking attention - but very kind-hearted. He created a club ostensibly just to have fun - the "Crazy Society." Apparently he's very good at the athletics too. He's tall and blond, often smiling, and always tries to cheer Rena up. He calls Rena "princess" sometimes. He is known by the nickname "K."
Mami-chan is Rena's good friend; with Rena, the two girls compose two-thirds of the student council. (They're both vice presidents.) She teases Rena gently at times. In the beginning, the student council president offers Mami his hand for the last waltz, and she accepts it. Mami-chan is good-natured and can often be seen sporting a happy smile. She has long wavy blond hair.
The student council president's name is never given, but he has a kind boyish face and floppy dark hair. He jokes around sometimes, but he is very serious when he is talking about love and destiny. His initial friendliness towards Rena made her think that he might like her as more than just a friend. He was the one who originally began calling her "Renny."
